Casa Verde Uvita was a wonderful place to stay at and explore the Ballena Marina National Park. The house itself is super charming, very nicely decorated and very clean. The veranda with full size table and hammock were our favorite features -- we were actually very entertained with the bug eating geckos that hunt in the rafters, as well as the praying mantis gang that came every night! The pool was delightful and very refreshing (it will be especially nice with all the plants around it grow in some more). It was very, very hot the week we were there and the air conditioning worked great, but we were grateful for the screens on all the windows so we could open them and enjoy the cooler night air and sounds. Everything was perfect there, including the property managers Gumer and Cecilia -- not only did they take our group on a hike to the nearby waterfalls, Cecilia also cooked for us a few nights, which was a welcome respite after a beach outing. All five of us (two adults and three teenagers) stayed at Casa Verde for five nights, and our friends (also five people ) stayed at the neighboring River House. A perfect set up.
