Uvita is home to the Bahia Ballena National Park. The famous whales tale makes this beach so special. You can either whale and dolphin watch, snorkel, surf (small waves) or go horseback riding or just enjoy the beautiful scenario. The beach is also great for swimming as there are no dangerous ripe tides and huge waves. Small rivers go into the ocean, where kids love to play. There are some great local restaurants by the beach, and you can also camp there. There is a small fee to be paid to enter.
I first came to Costa Rica in 1998. I fell in love with the country right away for so many reasons. I have been coming, living and unfortunately never staying off and on since.
